When it comes to refurbishment projects, Arkee Creative know exactly how to approach the design from every angle of the process.. The client, director and owner of established engineering firm Sokolski Consulting Group, wanted an office space that was fresh and bright.
While wanting to retain the existing heritage features of the building such as the decorative ceiling roses and cornice plaster details, Arkee's designers cleverly kept the balance between modern and heritage, marrying the two proportionally throughout the space. Designing a corporate work space within an old residential blueprint meant that the space planning, lighting and natural lighting needed to be taken into account very early on in the design process.
The inspiration for the colour palette came from the company's logo, as well as the client's desire to highlight and include exposed natural timber elements. The custom blue pinboards teamed up with the custom carpet planks add the perfect dose of colour. The ply details to the custom desk and storage joinery is the finishing touch, and adds a subtle warmth to the space.
